Welcome To Debtrepreneur

Under General By Dave

Who am I?
Hi. My name is Dave. I am almost 25 years old. I am flat broke and pretty heavily in debt. I rent a €200 a month room (I am very messy), and pretty much live and work from home on a … hybrid freelance type basis thing.

Why am I blogging?
This blog is going to be my diary and lifeline over the next three years documenting not only how I am going to get myself out of debt, but how I am going to get a house and pay off my mortgage in that time too…

What Will I be Blogging about?
I work for an online company and will not be talking about that ever on this blog. Instead, I will be blogging about what I find out about debt, getting out of debt and anything related to personal finance that I find that helps me. I will be blogging about my ups, downs and above all blogging to organize my thoughts relating to my personal finances. Hopefully, I will have something to look back on years down the line and be proud of. I will be asking people for advice and anyone who happens among this blog in that time is more than welcome to tell me either what I am doing wrong or what I am doing right.

So to sum it up on the 30th of April 2011, I will (hopefully) be completely debt free with a completely paid off mortgage of €350000 (Which is $536655 at the time of writing this).

How can you be involved?
Follow my journey! Please leave comments, I am absolutely personal finance illiterate. Please help me out. If you think I am doing something wrong, please tell me. If you want to criticize me, please do. You can contact me using my contact form.

I am really looking forward to connecting with the other personal finance bloggers who were brave enough to document their journey and smart enough for me to want follow in their footsteps.

Wish me luck.

Welcome to the debt club. I’ll keep up with your journey. I saw you added me to your twitter account and now that I see what your journey is about, I’ll join you. I’m learning about investment (when I’m not being lazy about it).

    Welcome to blogging too.

@Pete, many thanks. The design is actually a free theme. I will probably design my own theme sometime in the near future.

@lpkitten, thank you so much! My next post (today) will outline my debt in detail. Unfortunately, I have not even had the chance to get a mortgage yet. :( That’s one of my goals though!

@hank, thanks a million. And thanks for the tips in that whopper threat on your blog! I absolutely love your blog.

@Sharkgirl, yes, I added you on twitter. I hope you don’t mind. I have subscribed to your blog. Thanks for stopping by.

Just found your blog, good stuff. I am in a different stage of life than you (kids, family, low debts), but was in your shoes once upon a time. Good luck with your journey.

As I am a new pf blogger as well, hope you check out my blog and leave a comment if you want to exchange links.

Thanks for stopping by AndyS. I really appreciate the comment and am glad that someone else was in my shoes. In fact, the PF blogs I have read have pulled me out of the “isolated” place I was in only a few weeks ago.

I have indeed subscribed to your blog. I will leave a few comments when I have some “social time” at the weekend :)

If you are interested in a link exchange, I would be only too happy :) Let me know.

Glad to have found your blog, I just started a PF blg too. I already feel inspired by it, so good for accountability!
